Ukrainian heavyweight champion WBO Alexander Usik (12-0, 10 KOs) has signed a contract with the World Boxing Super Series and will perform in the first season of the Boxing Champions League. The Ukrainian became the fourth owner of the championship belt, which will perform in the heavyweights tournament, adding to the trio of Murat Gassiev (IBF), Myris Briedis (WBC) and Junier Dorticos (WBA Regular). Also the contracts were signed by Krzysztof Wlodarczyk and Marco Huck. Recall, the draw of the quarter finals of the World Boxing Super Series will be held July 8 in Monaco.
Champions of the world (Usik among them) will get their opponents from the number of applicants. Quarterfinal matches will be held in September-October, semi-finals in January-February and the finals in May.
