In June, two small children died in Odessa, who contracted measles and received complications in the form of pneumonia.
This was during a press conference told the head of the Odessa Infectious Diseases Hospital Svetlana Lavryukova, the correspondent of the Ukrainian Information Service reports. According to her, one of the injured children was already sick with pneumonia.
She noted that both children were treated for some time in an infectious diseases hospital, and one was also hospitalized.
The Chief Physician also cited statistics on the disease. She told that in the measles department of the infectious hospital every day receive from 3 to 10 patients. Age of the sick - from two weeks to 61 years.
At the same time, most of all children suffer from measles - they constitute 70% of those infected. 93% of them were not vaccinated.
