The National Bank is sure that attempts of cyber attacks on information systems of banks will be neutralized.
The National Bank of Ukraine (NBU) warns banks and other participants in the financial sector of Ukraine about an external hacker attack by an unknown virus. This was reported by the press service of the National Bank.
According to the report, the attack was already carried out today, on June 27, on several Ukrainian banks, as well as on some enterprises of the commercial and public sectors.
As a result of cyberattacks, affected banks experience difficulties in servicing clients and carrying out banking operations.
"Now in the financial sector, security measures and counteractions to hacker attacks by all participants of the financial market are strengthened," the NBU noted..
The National Bank of Ukraine is confident in the durability of protecting Ukraine's banking infrastructure from scammers in cyberspace. The NBU also expressed confidence that attempts of cyberattacks on information systems of banks in Ukraine will be neutralized.
"The National Bank of Ukraine monitors the situation and will report on the current state of cyber defense of the banking system," the NBU.
