Only about 50% of the citizens paid for the water use services provided in May. A large part of consumers (about 150 thousand) accumulated debts to "Infoksvododankal" for the sum of 129 million hryvnias.
In addition to the increase in the number of system non-payments, the employees of the enterprise note more and more cases of payment for water use services with a delay - not monthly until the 20th day, and every 2-3 months. At the same time, even some recipients of subsidies do not hurry to pay the mandatory part of the payment for water use, they become debtors and risk losing the subsidy as a whole.
Such low payment discipline of subscribers negatively affects the reliability of water supply throughout the city, especially in the hot season. With the advent of summer, the amount of water consumed by urban residents increases at times. And along with this, the expenses of the water canal are also growing, said the deputy head of the department "Vodosbyt" Alexander Sambur. So, if a few weeks ago, a day to the inhabitants of Odessa served about 300 thousand cubic meters of water, but now this figure has risen to 400. Accordingly, much more costs are spent on electricity, fuel, reagents for water purification.
Therefore, in order to prevent disruptions in the supply of drinking water to the city, "Infoxvododankal" again had to strengthen its work with non-payers. At times, the number of restrictions on the provision of services to debtors increased with the help of the "Mole" installation and the Service for outages.
"This is a forced measure. We have increased the number of teams of "Mole" and groups for dealing with debtors.
However, in each case we try to reach the subscriber. But, unfortunately in a week it is necessary to limit not less than hundreds of defaulters, "said Alexander Sambur.
"Infoksvodokanal" appeals to subscribers with a request not to accumulate debts and not create difficulties for themselves and the enterprise. In the event of financial difficulties, it is better not to hide from the water channel, but to conduct a constructive dialogue on debt repayment and pay due to its capabilities.
