On the outskirts of Kuyalnytsky estuary they want to create a park of wetlands. Thus, it is planned to raise the tourist appeal of this region.

As the correspondent of the Ukrainian Information Service reports, the corresponding decision was made at a meeting of the Odessa Regional Council.

Within the framework of the Regional Program for the Conservation and Restoration of Water Resources in the Kuyalnytsky Estuary Basin for 2012-2018, the establishment of the "Vetland Park" is planned, in which it is planned to hold seminars and "round tables". The activities will involve employees of the Department of Education and Science of Odessa Regional State Administration, district administrations, Odessa Regional Water Resources Administration, Odessa State Environmental University.

From the regional budget for these purposes plan to allocate 500 thousand. UAH.

Thus, the region's leadership wants to increase the tourist attractiveness of the Kuyalnytsky estuary district, and also to renew the biological diversity of the Black Sea area.

The deputies noted that the territory of the Kuyalnytsky estuary requires about 55 million UAH of financing, while the regional budget provides for only one million. People's representatives proposed to consider ways to attract resources in the framework of international activities. However, this proposal did not support the vote.
