Odessa Regional Puppet Theater prepared a new premiere - "Interview with Witches".
"Interview with witches" - this is the story of the Brothers Grimm, Maurice Maeterlinck, as well as real stories told by the three witches.
Three witches - they will be performed by Olga Chaban, Marina Zamchevskaya, Alexandra Smirnova-Kosheleva - will tell the audience ten stories, each of which has its own theatrical stylistics - musical, puppet and drama theater, theater-object, plastic theater.
... They came to tell their strange and chilling stories, each of which faces fate. Byl and fiction tightly intertwined. In their fierce monologues, pain and bottomless suffering are heard. They do not seek excuses for themselves. They just have something to tell.
It is the search for that starting point, after which the woman suddenly becomes a witch, destroying everything in her path - her lack of love and unhappiness in her childhood, the fear of being ugly, not conforming to replicable standards, and therefore - unnecessary and lonely. Maybe somewhere deep inside each of us there is a witch.
The play is for those who are not afraid to destroy stereotypes, talk about what it is accepted to be silent, look under the masks, test their own moral standards for strength ... It can be said that this is a play of horrors ... But, nevertheless it's a comedy. Black comedy. Theater on the verge of the theater ... Author of the play, director - Evgeny Kornyag (g. Minsk). The production director is Tatiana Nersisyan, the composer is Nikita Zolotar, both from Minsk. The plastic decision of the play came up with Eugene Kornyag.
