The United Nations demanded from Odessa investigators to accelerate the investigation of the tragedy on May 2, 2014.

This was stated by the head of the UN monitoring mission for human rights Fiona Fraser, the correspondent of the Ukrainian Information Service.

Investigations related to the incident in Odessa were heavily delayed, the trial of 20 "federalists" began for the third time and was moved to a new court. We call on the authorities to ensure effective investigations that must be conducted without delay.

We also insist on compliance with international human rights standards, "said the head of the UN monitoring mission Fiona Fraser.

Note, the trial of "Kulikovtsami" lasts more than 2 years. 5 out of 20 suspects have been in jail all this time. Several times the judges released them, but activists blocked this decision. The investigation, like the court, is not completed at this time.

As reported by USIonline. Com, the head of the Odessa threatened to be suspended because of the slow investigation of the "May 2 case".
