The Minister of Justice Pavel Petrenko supports the idea of ??introducing a visa regime between Ukraine and the Russian Federation and declares that there are no legal obstacles to this.

"Legal mechanisms are absolutely ready," he told journalists when asked about the possibility of introducing visas for Russians.

"This is a technical process. If there is a political solution, Ukraine is ready. And I think that we will help - the team of the Ministry of Justice to our colleagues from the Foreign Ministry, which will be front of this process, - quickly develop the government's decision to implement political decisions and launch this process, "Petrenko said..

He is in agreement with Secretary of the National Security and Defense Council Alexander Turchinov on the expediency of introducing a visa regime with the Russian Federation:.

"I think this question is relevant. As Secretary of the National Security and Defense Council (NSDC) said, he has even already overrulled ".

"We are talking only about those Ukrainians who have relatives in the Russian Federation - not to create for them a lot of uncomfortable things or a chance to be prosecuted by the special services of the Russian Federation," Petrenko said..

"But from the point of view of Ukraine's security, national security, from the point of view of restricting the movement on the territory of Ukraine of agents who massively come here under various pretexts, this would be the right decision," said the head of the Ministry of Justice.

On June 1, the head of the Security Service of Ukraine, Vasily Hrytsak, spoke in favor of admission to Ukraine only of those Russians who have biometric passports:.

"If we have the opportunity from June 11 to visit Europe with biometric passports, why not make it so that citizens of the Russian Federation can only enter here with similar documents?".
