"Rime" - a film about the war. However, there is practically no military action in the frame.

At the Cannes Film Festival the premiere of the film "The Rime" by Lithuanian director Sharunas Bartas was made in Ukraine and is dedicated to the war in Donbass.

This is reported in Facebook Ukrainian producer Vladimir Filippov.

He notes that the audience stood applauding and shouting "Bravo!".

"Hoarfrost" is a film about the war, about the struggle for independence. Its action occurs during the war, but military actions in the frame are almost absent. We see that the war leaves behind itself, that it accompanies, that it is framed: people left by destroyed settlements and cities, old people and children who have nowhere to go and who do not want to retreat any more, "Bartas said in an interview with Radio Liberty,.

Recall, May 17 in Cannes opened the jubilee, the 70th film festival, which will last until May 28.
