In a small room of the former Odessa tea-packing factory on the Quarantine, the "teapots", beloved by all theater-goers, worked with inspiration, they first equipped a small hall with their own hands, and then a large hall.

Professionals from different theatrical collectives of the city gathered here to stage joint performances, and then the audience discussed with them what they saw over a cup of tea. But sooner or later this story should have ended, because the building has owners, and they have their own plans. I still have to move to the beginning of the new season.

The director and the leading director of the "teapots" Alexander Onishchenko told "Dumskaya": "Most likely, these are the last months at the Tea Factory, we will look for a room in the center. We do not have any claims to the owners. It seems that it's still here before August ".

Of course, the level of work of the theater in any room will remain the same, but a unique "tea" atmosphere was possible only on the Quarantine.

Recall that in 2015, the company "Dia-Lex" bought a cheap number of buildings on the Quarantine Street, including the former tea factory. The objects were pledged to the bank "Nadra" and put up for auction. For 15 thousand square meters, "Dia-Lex" paid less than 400 thousand US dollars, or 24 dollars per meter.

In this quarter, bounded by Quarantine, Jewish and Troitskaya, the company wants to build seven new buildings - six, seven and nine floors. Seven-story buildings will appear at the intersections of the Quarantine with Troitskaya and Yevreiskaya, nine-story buildings - in the middle of the block. Under the demolition is the entire tea factory - along with the now located art center and experimental theater - as well as the house number 3 in the Jewish, where the computer academy "Step".
