Kiev District Court has chosen a preventive measure for the suspect in the murder of 17-year-old student Tatiana Masnyuk in Odessa. This was reported by the press service of the court.
The suspect was given a preventive measure in the form of custody for 60 days without the right to make a pledge.
A man is still charged with only robbery and murder of a girl (without rape).
Pre-trial investigation found that on May 18 T. Masnjuk called a taxi through the application "Cars". The driver who came to the call entered the girl's confidence and invited her to go to Chernomorsk.
While driving on the highway in the Ovidiopol district he stopped and asked the passenger to leave the car.
Then he began to strangle her, because of what the girl lost consciousness. After the man tied his victim's hands with sticky tape, put it in the car and drove in the direction of Dalnitsky Forest.
Around 6:00 the suspect arrived at the scene. There he strangled the girl and, to hide the traces of the crime, set her body on fire.
At the same time, the taxi driver kept to himself the iPhone victims, her gold ornaments and 17 thousand. 200 UAH.
The prosecutor's office qualifies the actions of the suspect by h. 2 items.
115 "Intentional homicide" and h. 4 items. 187 "Robbery". A man faces a life sentence.
Note that, according to media reports at the court session, the 26-year-old suspect confessed to committing another murder of the girl in 2014 and asked for the death penalty.
We recall that T. Masnjuk left the dormitory of the Odessa Ecological College on May 16 and disappeared. May 19, the girl's parents turned to the police. On May 21 law enforcers found T. Masnjuk the slain.
