The Prosecutor General called an important mistake in the investigation of the Sheremet case

Lutsenko noted that thanks to journalists the most important video recording became known, "it's a pity that the whole world, not just for the investigators".

In consequence of the case of the murder of journalist Pavel Sheremet a specific error was made. This was announced today by the Prosecutor General of Ukraine Yuriy Lutsenko, speaking with a report in the Verkhovna Rada.

"I must admit that in this investigation there was an error. The concrete error is that, having removed 201 CCTV cameras, another - and, as it turned out, the most important camera - was not withdrawn, that all this time did not give very important information to the investigation, "he said..



Lutsenko said that thanks to journalists, these video shootings became known, "it's a pity that the whole world, and not just for the investigators".

"As far as I know, the leadership of the Ministry of Internal Affairs also acknowledged the mistake and now makes up for lost time," he said..

Lutsenko noted that in the Sheremet case the investigation continues, it is being conducted by the National Police, prosecutors.

Earlier, the head of the National Police Sergey Knyazev reported that the police are cooperating with the authors of the film "Murder of Paul".
