On the European integration of the real and false

Eurointegration of Ukraine is one of the most worn-out topics in our media. And at the same time it is about European integration that is said in our media that there are so many absurdities, stupidities, and even lies, that many people perceive the questions of European integration as an indispensable and absolutely unnecessary, absolutely dead, ideological ritual. Like political studies at enterprises in the years of "stagnation".

The reason for this is quite obvious. Our state apparatus, our establishment considers eurointegration through the prism of adopting a number of bureaucratic procedures. Like, let's take this and this is the law - "and we will safely Europeanize". Given our political realities, both the establishment, and our formal opposition, and most of the Ukrainian voters - all pretend to believe in this bureaucratic delusion.

For government officials, the motive for such behavior is understandable: European integration gives a sacred meaning to the existence of domestic bureaucrats. The bureaucracy is ready to go even on some sacrifices, considering that as a result its priestly status will be legitimized by eurointegration.

For the Ukrainian establishment, the most important issue remains the preservation of its political status quo. The establishment is ready to ritually swear allegiance to at least European integration, even though the devil is a bald man, if only they do not interfere and continue to divide, deribanit and simply steal.

For a Ukrainian voter who is simply confident of his own inability to control the political processes in the country, even during the elections, not to mention other periods, all these ritual "pas" resemble the famous song "Sjogodni v kubitsi budut tantsi".

The tragedy is that Ukraine has embarked on the path of European integration when the European Union is shaken by the most severe political crises, and its bureaucratic institutions are not capable of adequately assessing the situation.

The problems of the relations between the "Old and New Europe", the crisis of ideological and religious self-identification (the issue of the Christian roots of Europe, which has become a quarrel between "Old and New Europe"), the crisis of Islamic migration to Europe. The peak of the crisis in Europe was Brexit, with the Brussels bureaucracy diligently trying to wash off its guilt in this crisis, and to fight the supporters of Britain's withdrawal from the EU, social groups were used aimed at EU payments. That is, elementary bribery of the voter. And even this did not help the Brussels bureaucracy.

Undoubtedly, the path of the EU, chosen in the mid-1990s for the total bureaucratization of business, social and social life in Europe, is absolutely deadlocked. Weakening the role of traditional forms of democracy, turning free elections into an appendage to the status of European bureaucrats - all this - is fueling the EU crisis. However, on the other hand, the example of Poland clearly shows that if there is political will, European nations are able to move forward even in times of crisis.

However, other examples for us are many times worse than the crisis of European democracy. Russian imperial authoritarianism has undoubtedly become the outcome of the bureaucratic crisis of Europe, but even in a crisis Europe is much more successful than the new Russian empire that idolized corruption and lack of rights.

We must understand that the main problems of Ukraine are not the adoption of two or three dozen empty laws and bureaucratic procedures. If we want real European integration, then we must turn our eyes to early Europe. Our problem is the atomization of society, the absence of horizontal and vertical links, the distrust of all to all, the lack of elementary fair elections, the critical lack of self-organization of citizens. We do not have democratic traditions, but we must understand that bureaucratic laws can not grow it.

Only the creation of a system of total control of society over the establishment can change the situation. Only elections can give people adequate weapons against bureaucracy and arbitrariness. Elections of deputies (every two years, and not once in five years - why in the US can be every two years, but we do not?), Election of judges, election of sheriffs, election of prosecutors and so on. Local referenda, local polls. Everything that started democracy in Europe. This is exactly what Europe will be like.
