In Odessa, two local residents rented other people's apartments. Malefactors acted alone, but in a similar pattern. To have access to real estate, a 20-year-old woman from Odessa and her 23-year-old acquaintance rented an apartment for a short period of time from the real owners, and in a few days handed it over to other people. So, in the house on Akademika Zabolotny Street, the youngest of the girlfriends rented a house for three days, for which she paid 750 UAH. Already two days later, when she called herself the owner of the apartment, she rented it to a man from whom she received three thousand hryvnia. Even more enterprising was another offender. Having rented an apartment for a thousand hryvnia on the Nicholas road, the young woman for several days passed it twice. In this case, each of the deceived tenants paid the "owner" for 2500 hryvnia.

"According to the facts, criminal proceedings have been started on the grounds of the offenses provided for in Article 190 (1) and 2 (fraud) of the Criminal Code of Ukraine," said Andrei Zaburny,. "As punishment for such acts, the legislation provides for up to three years of imprisonment". The pre-trial investigation continues. Earlier it was reported that in Odessa, three malefactors stole the keys of a minor girl and robbed her family's apartment, taking with them jewelry, cash and equipment for 60 thousand hryvnia.
