In New York there was a violent fire in the oldest synagogue in the city of Bet Ha-Midrash ha-Gadol, which is located in Manhattan.

As reported by nbcnewyork. Com, the fire started in the evening on Sunday, May 14. The roof of the building collapsed very quickly.

The fire was extinguished, but the synagogue suffered significant damage. There are no victims. The cause of the fire is found out.

It is reported that the synagogue Beth Ha-Midrash ha-Gadol was built in the 1850s by Jews who came from Russia. In recent years, the building was in disrepair. It required several million dollars to repair it.
