A visitor to the Diamond Crater park in the US state of Arkansas found a 2.65-carat diamond in 10 minutes. UPI reports this. 25-year-old resident of Oklahoma Victoria Brodski (Victoria Brodski) decided to visit the mine when she learned that there was found a precious stone weighing more than seven carats. She came to the "Diamond Crater" on her birthday and after only a few minutes noticed in the drainage tunnel at the entrance to the mine something like a fragment of colored glass. The woman did not suspect that she actually picked up the gem until she saw the samples of precious stones in the park museum. "Mrs. Brodsky's discovery is one of the most beautiful brown diamonds I've seen here," said his employee, Waymon Cox,. According to him, the stone has no visible defects, it has an even, round shape and is comparable in size to a bead. Cox called the found diamond Michelangelo in honor of one of the main characters of the animated movie "Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles".

In March, it was reported that a 14-year-old teenager found in the Diamond Crater a precious stone weighing 7.44 carats. The park is located on the site of an extinct volcano. This is the only commonly available deposit of these stones in the world. In 1990, they discovered the Stroun-Wagner diamond - a rare colorless stone completely devoid of internal defects. The park bought the find for 34.7 thousand dollars.
