Servicemen of the tank platoon of the 14th separate mechanized brigade of the Land Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine take part in the tank competitions The Strong Europe Tank Challenge 2017, which take place in Bavaria, Grafenvir, Germany.

The results of the competition will be announced on the last day of tank biathlon - May 12.

On Wednesday, May 10, the "Platoon in Defense" competition was held, the press service of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. Tankmen were supposed to show the unity of the unit in the defense and the defeat of the target from the strong point.

The day before, Ukrainian fighters demonstrated skills of shooting from a pistol standing, lying down and from the knee. The fire exercise was performed as a part of crews and ended with the shooting of the commander from the tank turret.

Servicemen also carried out tasks to find and identify targets. Before the crews, the task was set for 30 minutes to determine the number of enemy personnel, its armament and equipment.

The Strong Europe Tank Challenge competitions are held annually in one of the NATO countries in order to work out cooperation between the armored units of the alliance states, exchange tactical methods and procedures for their combat use. Ukrainike tankers first take part in these competitions, where they compete with teams from Germany, Poland, France, Poland and Austria.

In 2016, the victory in the tank biathlon won the German tankers. The second and third places were taken by servicemen from Denmark and Poland.
