The mayor of the Dnieper ceased funding for veteran organizations after the clashes on May 9

The Mayor of the Dnieper, Boris Filatov, after clashes on mass actions on May 9 announced the termination of funding from the city budget of veterans' organizations. He suggested allocating funds from the city budget only to the union of ATU veterans, and did not rule out that in future, voluntary formations could be created to protect public order in the Dnieper.

"Starting today, I am closing down the financing of all" veteran "organizations. ... the fighters of the Kolchak fronts, born on the 46th birthday, leave the City Executive Committee ahead with their feet. Forever. At the next session of the city council will be allocated city funding to the union of veterans of the ATU, "Filatov said on May 10 on his Facebook page.

He also stated about the "abnormal situation in the police" of the Dnipro River and suggested that as an alternative in the city may appear voluntary formations for the protection of public order.



"If the situation does not change, then in the city an analogue of the German francor of the beginning of the 20th century will be created," wrote the mayor of the Dnieper.

As reported, on May 9 in the Dnieper clashes occurred during the mass events on the occasion of the Victory Day over Nazism in World War II. 15 people were detained.

In the regional administration of the National Police appointed official investigation of the actions of law enforcers during clashes at public events.
