As of 13:00, during the events dedicated to the Victory Day over Nazism in various cities of Ukraine, law enforcement officers detained 45 people.

This was broadcast on the TV channel "112 Ukraine" Deputy Interior Minister Sergei Yarovoi.

"In Kiev, we have about 25 at the moment, and around 45 detainees across Ukraine," he said..

He also confirmed that today two policemen were injured: in Kiev and in Zaporozhye. There are no victims among the participants of the action, no one turned to the doctors. Yarovoy also noted that the enhanced security measures will continue "as long as necessary".

This state holiday appeared as a result of the adoption on April 9, 2015 by the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine. This year it has already been noted by cases of collisions. In particular, in Zaporozhye on the Victory Day there was a clash near the City Hall. Participants in the action "Immortal Regiment" brought with them a flag of the USSR banned in Ukraine, than angered patriotic activists. East incidents occurred in Kharkov and Odessa.
