According to the representative of the Ministry of Defense on ATO issues Andrei Lysenko, the most active battles on Friday in the Lugansk direction took place near the Crimean and Popasnyansky Districts.
There the militants used light weapons five times, in particular from mortars they fired over Ukrainian positions for more than 30 minutes. Ukrainian troops opened fire in response. In total, 14 shellings were fired from the side of the insurgents a day, the "Ukrainian Truth".
In the direction of Donetsk, the situation remains tense along the entire front line. At the Svetlodarskaya arc, near Gorlovka, in Avdeevka and Peski, the enemy used heavy weapons.
"The most intense shelling was in Peski, lasted more than 2 hours, the militants released 30 minutes, the armored vehicles were actively used," said Lysenko.
In total for a day on the Donetsk direction was fixed 15 enemy shelling, 7 of which were made from heavy weapons.
In the direction of Mariupol, the situation in the Maryinsky district has become aggravated, where the militants have repeatedly used armored vehicles and mortars, there have been hits in residential areas, windows in the city hospital and residential private house have been damaged.
Recall, on March 29, the Tripartite Contact Group in Minsk agreed on the introduction of the regime of a complete ceasefire in the ATU zone from April 1, as well as the withdrawal of forces and assets from Luganskaya Stanitsa.
Since the announcement of the silence regime in the ATU zone, militants have been violating it daily, including actively using the types of weapons prohibited by the Minsk accords.
