"In order to prevent the transport of dangerous items, weapons and explosives, taking into account the specifics of the region (carrying out an anti-terrorist operation), control at checkpoints, roads, railway stations and bus stations has been strengthened," the police spokesperson said..

At the same time, in the Donetsk region the police also strengthens security measures. According to the press service of the State Unitary Enterprise in the Donetsk region, law enforcement officers will pay special attention to the front-line Mariupol.

Security in the Donetsk region during the holidays will provide more than 2 thousand police officers. It is noted that in the next few days 79 actions are planned in the region in 45 settlements. Each of them will be attended by police officers (in all - almost 660 law enforcement officers).

550 outfits will leave the streets of settlements, of which 335 are pedestrians and 28 are auto-patrols, and 46 quick response teams. The crews of the patrol police will also work in Slavyansk, Kramatorsk and Mariupol.
