Russian special services could illegally receive information from Ukraine using the software "Stakhanovets", the use of which was recorded in eight companies (in particular, Dragon Capital and Ukrgazdobycha), said the head of the apparatus of the head of the Security Service, Alexander Tkachuk.
As he said, the specified software contains means of the private control and information removal about which proprietors-clients could not know.
"These searches were not related to the main activity of these companies, but were connected precisely with the fact that the Service documented the use of special software, through which remote control and information retrieval is carried out," Tkachuk's statement "Ukrainian Truth".
According to the SBU, for today such software is used by about 300 companies on the territory of Ukraine. The use of this software is prohibited from 2016, because it was recognized as a special technical tool.
"As part of the criminal proceedings of the SBU, it is documented that the developer of this software product is cooperating with the Federal Security Service of the Russian Federation," said Tkachuk.
At the same time, after searches in 8 companies revealed evidence that "more than a thousand licenses for this software product were used on the computers of these companies," but the SBU did not withdraw all computers.
According to Tkachuk, one server and five client machines (out of several hundred) were seized in Ukrtransgaz, and Dragon Capital - 1 server and three client computers.
This, as indicated by the head of the SBU head, is enough to appoint the necessary expertise.
Tkachuk pointed out that the Security Service of Ukraine is continuing work to prevent the use of illegal software in Ukraine.
"We appeal to all entrepreneurs, owners of commercial structures, businesses that use this software product to date," he said, referring to the Stakhanovets program, "the official said, noting that the servers for which the information is downloaded are located in Russia, and Software developer cooperates with FSB.
