Directors of SE "VostGOK" sent under house arrest

Solomensky court of Kiev on Wednesday, April 26, elected Alexandr Sorokin, director of the state enterprise "Eastern mining and processing combine", a preventive measure in the form of a night house arrest.

According to the investigation, Sorokin is a member of a criminal group led by ex-deputy Nikolay Martynenko, who organized embezzlement of more than $ 17 million by the State Enterprise "VostGOK".

The specialized anti-corruption prosecutor's office insisted on the conclusion of the suspect in custody with an alternative to making 15 million hryvnia.

People's deputies from the "Popular Front" Yuri Bereza, Gennady Krivoshey and Vitaly Stashuk expressed their readiness to take Sorokin on bail.

Judge Victoria Kitsyuk refused to satisfy the applications of SAP and people's deputies, "Censor. NO".

In the evening of April 20, detainees of the National Security Service detained former People's Deputy Nikolai Martynenko.

The detention was carried out as part of the investigation of the case on the procurement of the VostGOK uranium concentrate of uranium through the Austrian gasket. According to the investigation, former member of the parliamentary faction of the "Popular Front" Nikolai Martynenko is an accomplice in embezzling over 17 million dollars of the state enterprise "Eastern Mining and Processing Plant".

On April 22 Solomensky District Court of Kyiv denied the arrest of former People's Deputy Nikolai Martynenko and released him on bail of a number of people's deputies.
