Deputy Assistant Secretary of State for Political and Military Affairs Tina Kaidanov will visit Germany, Estonia and Ukraine on April 23-29, the press service of the US Department of Foreign Affairs.
"In Estonia and Ukraine, Ambassador Kaidanov will meet with civilian and military officials to discuss a wide range of military and political issues, including regional strategic priorities, assistance in the field of security, military cooperation and related issues," the message says..
In Germany, Kaidanov will meet with representatives of the European Command of the United States and other American officials in the region to discuss US efforts to strengthen NATO allies. She will also discuss issues related to strengthening the capabilities of the US European allies to combat IGIL and promote security in Afghanistan.
Earlier it was reported that the White House plans to submit budget proposals to increase defense spending by reducing the funding of the US State Department, the Environmental Protection Agency and several other non-military departments.
