The Organizing Committee of the Queer Culture Festival "Odessa Pride - 2017" has determined the dates of the pride events - from 8 to 13 August. This was reported in the All-Ukrainian public organization "Gay Alliance Ukraine".

The program "Odessa Pride - 2017" will include the work of discussion areas, educational workshops and meetings with famous representatives of the Ukrainian and foreign LGBT community.

According to the organizers, one of the highlights of the pride week will be the Festival of Creative Protests. Within three days Odessa citizens and guests of Odessa Pride will be able to assess the best concepts presented in the framework of the project "Creative Protests", launched in mid-April.

Participants of this festival in the festival will be the authors of the best ideas of non-violent, peaceful forms of civic activism. There will also be musical groups, theatrical collectives and volunteers of art workshops that will help everyone to create an original poster in the style of creative protest.

End the pride-week is assumed by the traditional March of equality. The organizers hope to repeat the success of last year, since the similar action in 2016 was the first in the history of Ukraine successfully conducted regional March of equality.

Recall, for the first time "Odessa Pride" was held in 2015. Then, the city authorities through the court secured the ban of all public events planned for the festival, including the March of equality. Organizers had to confine themselves to closed events. But in the following year the organizing committee and the activists who joined were able to hold the March of equality, despite the fact that the court banned its holding in the initially defined place.
