Tomilenko became the head of the National Union of Journalists

The National Union of Journalists (NSJU) at the 14th congress in Kiev elected its first secretary, Sergei Tomilenko.

For the candidature of Sergei Tomilenko, 131 out of 258 delegates of the congress, in the main department of the information policy of the Presidential Administration, Alexander Bukhtaty - 98 delegates, voted in the second round.

In total, 6 candidates were nominated for this post: Valery Bebik, Alexander Bukhtaty, Victor Chamara, Sergey Tomilenko, Sergey Omelchuk and Gleb Golovchenko.



Introducing his program, Tomilenko said that he will continue the progressive development and rejuvenation of the country's largest journalistic organization.

Sergey Tomilenko acted as chairman of the CNJU after Oleg Nalyvaiko, elected at the congress on April 24, 2012, became chairman of the State Committee for Television and Radio Broadcasting.

As reported, the National Union of Journalists of Ukraine condemned the creation of a new regulatory body - the Ministry of Information Policy.
