Ukrainian gunsmiths developed the first domestic sniper rifle with a caliber of 12.7 mm for NATO standard cartridges, the publication of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine "People's Army".

The total length of the rifle is 1200 mm, of which the length of the barrel is 750 mm. Sighting range of new weapons - up to 2.5 kilometers.

A rifle called Rhino Hunter will be produced under the brand Snipex, experts say that it looks like the famous American rifle Barrett M82. The Ukrainian sniper rifle has already entered the subdivisions of the country's power structures.

The development of Rhino Hunter was carried out by the Kharkov concern XADO. Initially, two prototypes were created: under the Soviet caliber of the cartridge 12.

7x108 and under the western one - 12.7x99 (the first figures are the caliber of the cartridge, the last ones - the length of the cartridge case). But in the end it was decided to stop on the western version for the cartridge. 50 BMG, as the Armed Forces are currently actively implementing NATO standards in Ukraine.

Manufacturers note that all the elements of the rifle are completely made of Ukrainian components. The cost of new items is about 150 thousand UAH.
