NABU detained two judges in the Dnieper on suspicion of bribery

Law enforcers detained the deputy chairman of one of the district courts of the Dnieper, as well as the judge of this court on suspicion of obtaining undue benefits.



In the operation, which was conducted under the procedural direction of the Specialized Anti-Corruption Prosecutor's Office, detectives of the National Anti-Corruption Bureau and operatives of the Security Service of Ukraine were involved, the press service of the National Security Service.

The vice-president of the court was taken red-handed when he received 1 thousand dollars of bribes. According to the investigation, she entered into a criminal conspiracy with another judge and extorted from the defendants 30 thousand dollars for sentencing, which would not provide for deprivation of liberty.

Money was transferred in several parts. The NABU is preparing a notification of suspicion of detained judges.
