The Verkhovna Rada made amendments to Article 42 of the Labor Code of Ukraine concerning the protection of labor rights of employees of pre-retirement age. Draft law No. 5564 was supported by 239 people's deputies.

The Labor Code is supplemented by the rule that the preferential right to leave at work when employees are released in connection with changes in the organization of production and labor, with equal conditions for labor productivity and qualification, is offered to employees who have less than three years left before the retirement age, upon which the person has the right To receive pension payments.

The law was adopted with technical and legal amendments.

Recall that in November 2015 the Verkhovna Rada made changes to the Labor Code, prohibiting discrimination on any grounds in the world of work.

Now the State Service for Work is working on the drafting of a new Labor Code (Labor Code). "We hope that in this half-year the new Labor Code will be adopted and the interests of all will be taken into account," Roman Chernega, the head of the department.
