Ukraine rose to a place in the ranking of corruption E & Y

More than half (51%) of company managers believe that corruption is widespread in the business environment of their country, according to an international study by Ernst & Young on the risks of fraud in Europe, the Middle East, India and Africa (EMEIA).

Among 41 countries, Ukraine ranks first - 88% of respondents answered in the affirmative. Denmark, Norway and Finland have the lowest corruption in business.

The study shows that 77% of board members or senior managers claim that they could justify unethical behavior to help the business survive, with one in three of them willing to offer a cash reward in exchange for concluding or renewing a contract.

77% of global respondents agree that prosecution of individuals will help prevent fraud, bribery and corruption among leaders.

The company Ipsos MORI, engaged in international market research, from November 2016 to January 2017, commissioned EY conducted 4100 interviews in 41 countries in the EMEIA region. Interviews were conducted in the native languages ??of respondents online or in person. Among the respondents are members of the boards of directors, middle and senior managers, as well as other employees representing companies of different sizes and from different industries. The study was conducted in Ukraine, where 100 employees were interviewed.



According to a poll conducted by the Razumkov Center and the Democratic Initiatives Foundation, held in May 2016, 67% of Ukrainians consider the main cause of the current social and economic crisis Ukrainians to be the corruption of government officials.

According to a poll conducted by the Sociological Group "Rating" in June 2016, the majority of Ukrainians (53%) are aware of the high level of corruption in the country from the media. At the same time, 10% said that the last year they personally gave bribes, and 22% reported that bribes were given by their relatives and acquaintances.
