The communal workers dismantled the plate in connection with the Decom- munization Law. The memorial plaque was on the building where, in 1920-1921, lived and worked the commander of the 51st Perekop Division, Vasily Konstantinovich Blucher, who at one time served as chief of the troops of the Odessa province.



Let us note that the famous Soviet military and statesman Vasily Blyukher was born in the Yaroslavl region in 1890. Marshal of the Soviet Union (1935), Knight of the Order of the Red Banner No. 1 (1918) and the Order of the Red Star No. 1 (1930). In 1938 he was arrested during mass repression in the Red Army and on November 9, 1938, died in Lefortovo prison from torture during interrogations; Posthumously rehabilitated in March 1956.
