With this mission, Saudi Arabia will succeed the UAE, which in 2019 became the first Arab country to send its citizens into space.. Then astronaut Hazzaa al-Mansouri spent eight days on the ISS. Another UAE astronaut, Sultan Al Neyadi, will also travel to the ISS later this month..

Earlier, the Russian state concern Roscosmos published a photo of the hole that appeared on the Soyuz spacecraft docked to the International Space Station.. This hole caused the ship's coolant to leak..
