Experts have recorded the distribution of dangerous letters from the mail of a government agency employee

Government Computer Emergency Response Team CERT-UA warns of emails with malware attachments. According to the State Service for Special Communications, this time the attackers remembered the topic of COVID-19.

Such letters contain an attachment in the form of an XLS document Aid request COVID-19-04_5_22. xls. When it is opened, GraphSteel and GrimPlant malware is downloaded to the computer, and attackers get access to the basic information of the attacked.

According to experts, dangerous letters are sent from a compromised account of an employee of a state body of Ukraine.
