The Russian VKontakte company refused to transfer user data to the National Bureau of Credit Histories (NBKI). This is the managing director of the social network Andrei Rogozov said on his personal page. In particular, Rogozov said that to the development team VKontakte asked the NBKI with a proposal for cooperation. The Bureau intended to use public data from users to analyze accounts of borrowers. "We really considered the possibility of cooperation with the NBKI, but never came to a format that would not contradict VKontakte's data protection principles," said the managing director of the social network. According to him, the social network came to a decision to refuse such cooperation.

Rogozov also stressed that the developers "do not plan to simplify access to open user data" and will struggle with unauthorized access by technical and legal methods. "We support the openness of the Internet, but we also believe that everyone has the right to decide for themselves what information to share," he added.. Earlier it was reported that against the Viber messenger in Russia, the same measures could be taken for which Telegram had fallen, if the special services did not gain access to encryption keys.
