Apple intends to introduce emoji representing people with disabilities. The proposal was sent to the Unicode Consortium and, if approved, new emoji will appear on the phones at the end of the year, reports Emojipedia. Among the suggested symbols are a guide dog, a hearing aid, a person in a stroller, and prosthetic limbs. Apple says they want to fix the fact that the current set of emoji does not reflect the experience of people with disabilities. The company expects that the proposed options can be expanded in the future.
