SpaceX has successfully launched the Falcon 9 missile carrying the Spanish satellite PAZ and the two Microsat-2a and Microsat-2b satellites, which will test the technology for creating a large satellite network for the satellite Internet, N + 1 reports..

The system will consist of almost 12,000 satellites weighing several hundred kilograms, divided into two groups. One of them will be located at an altitude of 1110 to 1325 kilometers, and the second is much lower, at an altitude of 335 to 346 kilometers. Satellites will be able to exchange information with both terminals on the Earth, and with each other.

February 22 at about 16:17 in Kyiv SpaceX launched the first two satellites of the system. The first stage of the missile was already used during another launch in August 2017, but this time the company decided not to plant it after launch. 11 minutes after launch from the second stage the Spanish satellite of remote sensing of the Earth PAZ. He will be able to take pictures of the Earth's surface with a resolution of up to 25 centimeters.



This launch is also notable for the fact that this time the company used a new version of the head fairing, half of which it will try to land on. Previously, the media reported that the Falcon 9 booster failed to deliver the secret government satellite Zuma into orbit.
