Analytics analysts evaluated the US smartphone market in the third quarter. Sales for the reporting period decreased by 2% in annual terms, to 39.5 million devices, which is explained mainly not by the best demand for Apple's smartphones.
But it's not at all interesting. Having nearly doubled sales, Motorola returned to the list of market leaders in the US! The company managed to sell 2.1 million smartphones, thus taking 5.
2% of the market in the third quarter.
In the first place with a 30.4% share was placed by Apple, selling 12 million smartphones. The second is Samsung, which has 25.1% of the market and 9.9 million units sold. The third and fourth places were occupied by LG and ZTE respectively. Their indicators are 17.2%, 6.8 million and 11.6%, 4.6 million respectively. All other companies put together sold only 4.2 million devices in the US, which corresponds to 10.5% of the market.
