In the UK, a young man was found guilty of attempting to purchase an improvised explosive device on one of the illegal trading platforms of darknet. This is reported by BBC News.

Gurtej Singh Randhawa, 19, acted alone and did not represent the interests of any terrorist organizations. The court ruled that the young man was guilty of "illegally buying and owning an explosive with the intention of endangering life".

Randhava was arrested in May 2017 as a result of an operation conducted by the National Agency for Combating Crime, whose officers replaced the contents of the parcel with the explosive for a fake and delivered to a young man. At the same time, two women aged 45 and 18 were arrested, who were released without charge.

"The explosive that Randhava was trying to buy on the Internet could cause serious damage and kill many people in case he could use it. Despite the fact that Randhava is not involved in an organized criminal grouping and is not connected with terrorism, he is definitely a person who poses a significant risk to the community, "said Tim Gregory, a spokesman for the armed forces unit of the National Agency for Combating Crime, in an interview with BBC News.
