If the robots occupy the jobs of programmers, then what will they do? According to the CEO of one of the IT companies, which plans to earn a lot of money on this "transition" - to create and maintain robots. This is reported by the publication Fortune.

Autodesk CEO Andrew Anagnost told CNBC that "automation will soon destroy some professions, so we need to focus on those specialties that will appear". He added that these professions will be the creation, programming and maintenance of automated systems.

Over the past few years, many have been alarmed by the devastating effects of automation. In particular, the alarm appeared after recent advances in the field of robotics and machine intelligence.

In 2013, scientists Carl Frey and Michael Osborn of Oxford Martin School conducted a study according to which 47% of all jobs in the US will be at risk of automation in the near future.

Other studies have given similar predictions.

The National Bureau of Economic Research also published a report this year, which states that each new robot replaces about six workers. However, given the relatively low level of consumption of such robots in the US, the problem does not seem so obvious.

The key question is whether automated systems can create enough new jobs.

Recall previously reported that the largest IT companies in India began to quietly dismiss the developers or translate them into those jobs that can not yet be automated.
