Edition Mashable conducted an experiment, which revealed that the Face ID recognition system in the new iPhone X can be "hacked" if the smartphone is used by twins.
To test this statement, the staff of the magazine invited several pairs of twin brothers. At first, one of the brothers registered his face as a "fingerprint", after which the second tried to unlock the smartphone, looking at the screen.
The fact that Face ID may be mistaken in the case of twins, it became known even at the end of September, when the details of the recognition system were published on the Apple website. False positives are also possible if the smartphone is used by children under the age of 13.
At the same time, according to Apple, the probability of a false Face ID trigger is one to one million, and the system recognizes the owner even if he wears (or removes) glasses, releases his beard and so on.
