Google search has lost a useful opportunity

Google has decided to prohibit users from searching for information on other regions through a proprietary search engine. Recall that earlier anyone could type in the address bar of his browser "google" and add the domain of the country you want, for example, google. co. jp (for Japan). This was especially useful when you need to find information that is better covered in a particular country, or if you wanted to use the global search via google. com.

Google believes that the search results should be configured exclusively for the location of the person - regardless of which domain is used. This means that even if you type in the address bar of google. co. uk, you will still get results related to the country in which you are currently. Google justifies this by the fact that every fifth search query is associated with the actual location, and therefore it is the most important deciding factor in providing results.
