This week's video from the wedding in Saudi Arabia gained popularity among Twitter, Instagram and YouTube users in the Middle East.

According to the Egyptian media El Bashayer, the reason is that the authors of the record in the description claimed that each guest was given a new iPhone 8 as a gift.

On the video you can see that the waiters actually carry trays with a lot of boxes similar to those used for "iPhones".

The ceremony was held in the city of Jeddah in the west of Saudi Arabia. Many users, the media say, criticized the wedding organizers for such waste.

Nevertheless, as one of the guests of the ceremony told the Jordanian Internet publication Al Bawaba, in fact, there were not any smartphones from Apple inside.

According to him, inside was a set of sweets packed in boxes, similar to "iPhones". He specified that such sweet sets as a gift to guests are a tradition and a manifestation of hospitality.
