HP introduced "the world's thinnest" updated Specter 13 notebook

HP introduced the second-generation Specter 13 laptop. The updated model is equipped with a 13.3-inch touchscreen, protected from damage with a durable glass of Gorilla Glass, and bordered with a thin frame. The screen resolution is Full HD with the 4K option. HP is positioning the new model as the world's thinnest laptop with a touchscreen, whose body thickness is only 10.8 mm.

The specifications of the notebook include up to four-core Intel processors of the eighth generation Core i5 or i7 Kaby Lake, up to 16 GB of RAM and PCIe SSD with a capacity of up to 1 TB. Also reported on the integrated graphics Intel UHD Graphics 620.

The claimed battery life of the laptop is up to 11.5 hours. HP also introduced a quick charging technology in the device, which allows you to charge the battery from zero to 50% capacity in just 30 minutes.



The Specter 13 has a full-size, edge-to-edge keyboard with backlight, with a pair of Bang & Olufsen speakers providing a "clear" sound.

Communication capabilities include a pair of Thunderbolt 3 ports, a USB Type-C connector 3. 1 Gen 1 and headphone and microphone jack.

Price Specter 13 starts from $ 1,300 for the model with an Intel Core i5-8250U processor, 8 GB of RAM LPDDR3 and 256 GB of PCIe SSD. A model with similar characteristics, but with a processor Core i7-8550U will cost $ 1400. The beginning of sales is scheduled for October 29, pre-order can now be completed now.
