Last weekend, Apple released a new commercial showing all the features of the "Portrait Lighting" function in the iPhone 8 Plus.
In the video titled "Her portraits" appeared a member of the musical group The Shacks. While she strolls along the street, the effects around her change in accordance with the modes of "Portrait Lighting". The latter includes several styles that can be applied to photos. "Studio lighting", for example, illuminates the face of an object, and "contour lighting" compares glare and shadows to emphasize the details of a person's face in a portrait. The "step light" mode places the face on a flat black background - this is the accent in advertising.
Unlike filters in the same Instagram, in this case, the image change is obtained as a result of hardware processing in real time and a system installation of two cameras. While the function "Portrait Lighting" is at the testing stage, but the web already shows pictures of users with new styles.
