Chinese manufacturers have released more than 1.1 million mobile phones from January to July 2017, DigiTimes reports with reference to the data of the Chinese Ministry of Industry and Information Technology (MIIT).

It is noted that 820.75 million or about 80% of this volume was smartphones. Compared with the same period in 2016, mobile phone shipments grew by 4%, and in the communicator segment a rise of 3.4%.

The Ministry has published statistics on other types of computer electronics. So, for the first seven months of this year, companies from China produced 95.34 million notebooks, 46.

37 million tablets and 25.06 million desktop PCs. The growth was noted in all categories, except for the tablet, where the indicators sank by 0.2%. Supplies of laptops increased by 11%, and desktops - by 8.2%.

Also given are data on LCD TVs - in China they produced about 81.6 million units, which is 8.3% less than a year ago. About 65% or 54.32 million of the total number of devices belonged to smart models. Smart TV shipments in annual terms decreased by 2.4%.
