Referring to the IHS Markit data, the source claims that sales of flexible OLED displays of small and medium size in the second quarter of this year were twice as much as a year ago. The rapid growth in sales is facilitated by the revival of demand for smartphones.

The market size of flexible displays such as OLED up to nine inches in diagonal from April to June is estimated at $ 2 billion. A year ago, the quarterly sales volume in monetary terms was $ 886 million.

Displays of small size are used not only in smartphones. They can also be found in tablets, cameras and portable electronic devices.

The undisputed market leader is Samsung Display, which, according to the data for the above period, accounted for 98.3% of sales of flexible displays OLED.
