Mozilla has released a version of the browser Firefox 56, the last before the advent of Firefox Quantum in November. It also contains some changes, including support for creating screenshots, sending tabs and improved form autocomplete, so far only in the English version.
The main innovation of Firefox 56 is the tool for creating screenshots, which was previously in the browser in a test form. Thanks to it you can selectively take screenshots of pages and their elements.
The function of sending tabs was previously available in the browser of Firefox Mobile, but now it is also available in the browser version for personal computers. The function eliminates the need to send yourself links to open pages via instant messengers or email. In addition, when sending tabs, end-to-end data encryption is provided.
Among minor changes, we can name the updated settings menu, stop playback of multimedia content in inactive tabs, support hardware acceleration AES-GCM, the Safe Browsing protocol has been updated to version 4, the size of the update file has decreased by 20%.
