The Google Play Store has become the world's largest application distribution platform. This was stated by the head of Google Play in the Asia-Pacific region, James Sanders (James Sanders).

According to him, in 2016, users downloaded 82 billion programs and games from Google Play against 65 billion a year earlier. In this case, the number of users who pay for content on Google Play, increased by 30%, reports DigiTimes.

Speaking about the possibilities of Google Play, Sanders noted that the service supports payment by debit and credit cards in 135 countries of the world, as well as payment of content from phone bills, cooperating with 140 operators in 55 countries of the world.

To help software developers improve their business prospects and attract more customers, Google not only continues to improve Google Play management (for example, by expanding distribution and analysis capabilities), but also enhances virtual and augmented reality support, and also integrates content with Chromebooks. This will facilitate and expand the software development capabilities, said James Sanders.
