One of the common horror stories for women waiting for a child - working with a mobile phone will negatively affect a child's health. A new study by the Norwegian Institute of Public Health showed that cell phones indirectly have even a positive effect on the child.

Scientists have studied more than 45 thousand mothers and children. They were divided into four groups: 9.8% did not use cellular during pregnancy, 39% used a gadget rarely, 46.9% - more often, and 17% of expectant mothers worked actively with a mobile phone. Specialists determined the development of children aged 3 and 5 years.

It turned out that three-year-olds, whose mothers used cell phones during pregnancy, are less likely to have problems with motor skills and making long sentences compared to peers whose mothers did not communicate on the cellular. Among the children of five years, the difference in motor skills was not noticed.

According to scientists, this can be explained by the fact that women using the phone as a whole are more sociable and speak more actively with their children, thereby expanding their vocabulary. At the same time, there is no correlation between the use of a mobile phone during pregnancy and the development of neurological diseases in a child.
