MediaTek reported the highest revenue in the last nine months. In August 2017, one of the leading manufacturers of mobile chips earned $ 22.5 billion of Taiwan dollars ($ 748.8 million) on sales of its products, improving the July result by 18.6%. However, on an annualized basis, MediaTek's revenue fell 13%.

According to market experts believe that in the third quarter of 2017, the chip maker should reach the forecasted sales range from 59.2 billion to 63.9 billion Taiwan dollars, which will correspond to a quarterly growth of 2-10%. In total for July and August, MediaTek raised 41.47 billion Taiwan dollars, that is, to achieve the company's target, it remains to receive about 18 billion Taiwan dollars.

MediaTek also noted that its total revenue since early 2017 reached 155.62 billion Taiwan dollars (5.2 billion US dollars). Lagging from last year's indicators is about 13%.

During the last press conference devoted to financial results, co-director of the company Rick Tsai (Rick Tsai) said that Mediatek will emphasize the processors of the Helio P series, designed for mid-range smartphones. Chipmeyker expects to begin to win back lost market positions from the fourth quarter, and in 2018 hopes to accelerate growth rates.

In addition to smartphone chips, Mediatek also sees prospects in the growing markets of things Internet and automotive electronics.
